AkikO MoNOU
Akiko started off her model and acting career by starring in Shiseido’s No Color Foundation in 1996. In 2001, she starred in her first feature movie for Director Hiroyuki Nakano’s “Stereo Future”. Following her film debut, she has been been casted to model and act in various Japanese commercials, movies and magazines. In 2011, Akiko moved to New York, where she met her husband-to-be. She and her husband moved back to Japan, where she and her family now live in Hayama, Kanagawa-ken, Japan.
Currently, as she raises her son in Hayama, Akiko continues to act and model. As of late, she can be seen in Shueisha Publishing Company’s “Natsui Ichi” product movie and TV commercials for Lipton Tea. Her openness to share her lifestyle as a mother is often featured in magazines and appeals to like-minded women similar in age.
Akiko’s hobbies include reading, yoga, and traveling. She loves to visit different countries such as Cuba, Brazil, and Bali to learn and participate in traditional dance.
